Our Year 4 children swapped the classroom for th gear outdoors this week as they headed off to Hanley Forest Park for a fantastic morning of exploring, discovering and learning!

As part of their Secience topic 'Living Things and Their Habitats', the children had the perfect opportunity to see nature up close and put their learning into action. Wrapped up in their warm coats, hats and wellies, they set off ready for an exciting morning of wildlife spotting and habitat hunting.

The children explored the park, looking carefully for signs of local wildlife and discovering different animals and creatures that call the area home. They enjoyed investigating their surroundings and thinking about the particular habitats and how these environments help them survive. 

There were plenty of opportunities for curiosity, teamwork and discussion along the way, with lots of excited conversations about the things that they spotted. It was wonderful to see the children so engaged with their learning and enjoying the fresh air at the same time!
