Welcome from Co-op Academy Grove

We are thrilled to share this very first edition of our academy newsletter with you. We hope you enjoy reading it each week and watching it grow as we find new ways to celebrate our children and share school updates.

First up ... next week is an extra special week for football and breakfast lovers!

To celebrate the World Cup, anyone who attends our free breakfast club on any day next week is invited to come dressed in:

  • Their favourite football kits

  • Or sporty outfits

We will also have a themed menu each day (in addition to your usual):

  • Monday represents Turkey with Yogurt
  • Tuesday represents Germany with bread, cheese and ham
  • Wednesday represents America with pancakes
  • Thursday represents France with croissants
  • Friday represents England with a firm favourite – cheesy oatcakes.

So come along, get fuelled up for the day, and show your team spirit!

Succeed Together

At Co-op Academy Grove, we are incredibly proud of how hard our children work!

A big shout-out to all of our Year 4 children completing the National Multiplication Timestable Check this week. They have worked so hard throughout the year, and many are aiming for that top score of 25/25!

Build updates

Project Toilets Update

Work is well underway! We are so proud of the children for adapting to our new routines and using the new facilities so well. The week has passed without a 'splash!' – the internal screens are up and demolition has officially begun. Our builders even had time for a quick photo :)

Roof & Hall Updates

We have some great news regarding the roof: no more leaks! While there are still a few investigations to be done, the best part is that the hall is finally back in use! Just in time for our Y6 leavers assembly, prom and much more!

Attendance matters

We are still pushing hard for that perfect 100% attendance day!

Here is how we did last week:

  • Best Day's Attendance: Monday - 95.7%

  • Whole School Weekly Attendance: 94.29% - as a school we aim for at least 96% - let's try even better next week!

  • Trust Leaderboard: We are currently in 5th place! Let's see if we can climb even higher next week.

  • Attendance Champions: Huge congratulations to 6SJ for having the highest attendance this week with 100% followed closely by 3JW at 99.5% - both classes have earned an extra playtime!

Every day counts – let's keep this momentum going!

Did you know?

15 minutes late each day = 2 weeks of lost learning across the school year.

Feedback Friday!

We want to hear from you! Please spend a few moments completing our survey here.

Your feedback really does matter to us and helps us celebrate what's working and fix what isn't. Thank you so much for your continued support!
