Welcome from Mrs Robinson, Headteacher

It's that time of the week again! What a fun-filled, action-packed week it has been.

This week, we were joined by several members of Trust staff, including our SEND Director, Curriculum Director, Regional Director, and Chair of CCMs (Governors). Although they visited on different days, each was equally impressed by the school environment, the children's learning and behaviour, and the recent site improvements. We are truly committed to making Grove the best it can be for our children.

A reminder that Parents' Evening is next week, with appointments available to book on Arbor. If you would like to meet with Miss Caica (SENDCo), please send her a message on ClassDojo, and she will gladly arrange a time with you. I will also be available throughout the evening if you need anything.

As always, if there is anything you'd like to share, please complete our Feedback Friday form—good news is just as welcome as areas for improvement!

Thank you for your continued support!

Succeed Together

At Co-op Academy Grove, we are incredibly proud of how hard our children work!

It is such a privilege to walk around the school and see their dedication in the classroom, and even more rewarding to celebrate their achievements together—whether in assembly, during class, or when they proudly pop by my office to show off their work.

Accelerated reader

Wow – our children are off to a speedy start with reading this year, with many already hitting key milestones!

Don't forget that our word millionaires and half-millionaires (in Y3/4) will get access to a book from our vending machine.

On the road to this milestone, we celebrate:

  • 50,000 words: Haroon (6SJ), Reggie K (6SJ), Scarlett C (6SJ), Poppy C (6SJ), Elias (6SJ), Jacob W (6SJ), Charlie P (6DT), Robin W-S (6DT), Ruby D (5JW), Mahsa (5JW), Adrianna (5CC), Aaima (5JBC), Aiden (5JBC), and Musa (5JBC)

  • 250,000 words: Jacob W (6SJ) and Musa (5JBC)

We are currently awaiting our new Libresoft software, which will make our library even more accessible for the children.

Attendance matters

It was great to hear the cheers of excitement during this week's assembly and how amazing it was that our lowest class score this week was 95.5%. It really is great to see that the majority of classes were above our 96% target.

Our 100% day is getting ever closer!

Here is how we did last week:

  • Best Day's Attendance: Thursday - 97.37%

  • Whole School Weekly Attendance: 96.00%

  • Trust Leaderboard: We are currently in 12th place! Let's see if we can climb even higher next week.

  • Attendance Champions: Huge congratulations to 5JBC and 6DT for having the highest attendance this week with 99.4% followed closely by 5CC at 99.0% - these classes have earned an extra playtime!

Every day counts – let's keep this momentum going!

Did you know?

Being just 15 minutes late every day adds up to missing 8 full school days over the course of a single academic year.
