Welcome from Co-op Academy Grove

Thank you for your continued support navigating the heat wave. Our uniform changes will continue into the final week of term, meaning all children are welcome to wear their PE kit daily for the remainder of the academic year. If your child prefers to wear their normal school uniform instead, they are not required to wear their blazers or ties. To keep the children comfortable and safe in the sun, please ensure they bring a refillable water bottle, a sun hat, and sun cream to school each day. We also ask that you apply the first application of sun cream before they arrive in the morning.

There are also lots of exciting final week of term activities to look forward to, including our MAGIC day on Friday 17th July! For this special day, children are welcome to wear non-uniform, though sensible shoes are still a must.

We have some fantastic activities lined up for MAGIC day, including a water fight. Children are encouraged to bring in their super soakers and water squirters, along with a bag containing spare clothes, shoes, and a towel – just in case they get soaked! Please note that water balloons are not allowed.

In addition to the water fight, children can jump into summer with a 'hopping' good time on the bouncy castle; please remember that no jewellery should be worn for this activity. Finally, we will be serving ice cream – all children's dietary requirements will be catered for. Sauce and sprinkles, anyone?

MYOL reports

Final year MYOL reports have been sent out today via the Arbor app. We cannot thank the children enough for how hard they have worked this academic year. We hope you enjoy reading about their successes (and their next steps) in their reports.

If you have any questions regarding reports, please reach out to class teachers via Class Dojo.

We also ask that everyone takes a moment to complete our short report feedback form. The link will be shared on class dojo.

Thank you!

Parent Consultation Meeting

Parents and carers who are interested in learning more about the updates to our Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) curriculum are invited to attend a parent consultation meeting on Tuesday 14th July 2026, from 1:30pm to 2:00pm.

During the meeting, we will share information about our new RSE curriculum, explain what children will be learning about and provide an opportunity for parents and carers to ask questions.

We look forward to welcoming you and appreciate your support as we introduce our updated curriculum.

Succeed Together

At Co-op Academy Grove, we are incredibly proud of how hard our children work!

A big shout-out to all our children and staff! This week, our Regional Director visited our school and recognised how calm our environment was and how hard our children and staff were working, regardless of this being the end of term. Well done everyone. Let's keep this up next week!

Uniform

Just a reminder, from September, we will be moving to our brand-new school uniform – how exciting!

Starting in the new school year, all children will wear a white polo shirt and a purple Co-op Academy Grove sweatshirt, paired with grey trousers or a skirt and black shoes/trainers. Please note that blazers, shirts, ties, and kilts will no longer be part of our daily uniform.

To support our families with this transition, every child will receive one FREE jumper.

Our new PE kit will consist of plain black trousers/joggers and a plain black jumper, worn with a purple Co-op Academy Grove T-shirt and plain black trainers.

Attendance matters

Our current whole school attendance is 95.51%. Let's have one final push next week to try to ensure our end of year figure is as high as it possibly can be!

Here is how we did last week:

  • Best Day's Attendance: Wednesday 96.6%

  • Whole School Weekly Attendance: 95.2%

  • Trust Leaderboard: We are currently in 5th place! Let's see if we can climb even higher next week.

  • Attendance Champions: Huge congratulations to 4SK for having the highest attendance this week with 99.6% followed closely by 6AB at 99.2% - both classes have earned an extra playtime!

Every day counts – let's keep this momentum going for the final week.

Did you know?

2 days a month absence adds up to 10% of the school year missed!

Before and After School Club (BASC)

Don't forget, at Co-op Academy Grove we operate a paid before and after school club. This is open to all pupils who attend both Co-op Academy Grove and Co-op Academy Northwood. Please help us to spread the word!
